Mark your calendars for the 7th TexShare Interlibrary Loan Workshop, scheduled for September 29, 2006. By popular demand the workshop will be held, for the first time ever, in Austin. We are planning an exciting agenda and hope you can attend.

Also, available for the first this year is ILLiad training to be held September 28, 2006 sponsored by the University of Texas - Austin.

AGENDA:
With topics such as The Future of Interlibrary Loan (with nationally known speakers), Copyright (with special emphasis on ILL circumstances), and a panel of your peers discussing ILL Best Practices, this workshop will offer something for libraries of all types and sizes.

FEE:
For a mere $60 ($75 for out of state attendees), you will receive a continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, a chance to attend stimulating presentations, and an opportunity to meet and greet your resource sharing colleagues.

Lunch will be Poblano Breast of Chicken: Sautéed breast of chicken topped with a poblano cream sauce served with spanish rice and black beans. A vegetarian meal is available upon request. Please indicate on the registration form if you would prefer a vegetarian meal.

LOCATION:
The workshop will be held at the DoubleTree Inn-Austin, 6505 IH-35 North, Austin, TX 78752. This is a beautiful hotel with many amenities. Unfortunately, the rooms at the DoubleTree Inn have been booked at the state rate. Rooms are available at the DoubleTree Inn at their normal rate of $170. Here is a list of nearby hotels that have rooms available at the state rate of $85.00. To ensure the state rate, be sure to book your
rooms quickly.

If you plan to attend the ILLiad training at UT, you may arrange with the hotel for an additional night. Also, if you plan to take some time in our wonderful city before or after the workshop, be sure to book your room early for the additional nights as hotel rooms fill up quickly on the weekends.

ILLiad TRAINING, September 28, 2006:
In addition to the ILL Workshop this year, the University of Texas Libraries will host an ILLiad training session, OCLC ILLiad Custom Report Design with Microsoft Office, on September 28, 2006 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. A box lunch will be included with the registration. Registration for the training can be made through Atlas' site at https://www.atlas-sys.com/training/

If you plan to arrive in Austin early for the ILLiad training and would like to stay at the ILL workshop hotel, the Doubletree Inn-Austin will honor the $85 room rate for the additional night. Mention the Texas State Library when making your reservation.
