The annual full rate for TExpress courier service
for FY07 (July, 2008 - August, 2009)
5 - day service $4,400 - *$900 subsidy = $3,500 library's
cost
3 - day service $3,000 - *$450 subsidy = $2,550 library's
cost
2 - day service $2,375 - *$450 subsidy = $1,925 library's
cost
*The Texas State Library and Archives Commission
subsidy is $900 annually for 5-day service and $450
annually for 3-day and 2-day service.
Amigos works diligently with our courier partner
to hold costs down; however the recent rise in fuel
costs necessitated this increase.

Mark your calendars for the
9th Interlibrary Loan Workshop to be held October
8 and 9, 2009 at the DoubleTree Inn in Austin! Agenda,
registration and room reservation information will
be announced at a future date.
The last ILL workshop was very successful, so a half
day of training will be held again this year. The
training on October 8th will include ILL 101, a Clio
usersgroup meeting and ILLiad training. Details to
be announced at a future date.

Follow the Interlibrary Loan Implementation
Task Force activities on the Interlibrary
Loan Study Task Force blog. See links to the charge,
member roster, fact sheet and more information on task
force activities. The Task Force is charged to evaluate
the models described in the Texas
Resource Sharing Study and to suggest possible
pilot projects.
TSLAC commissioned the Interlibrary
Loan Study as a follow-up to the Himmel
and Wilson Study on Public Library Development.
The Interlibrary Loan Study presents six different
models for improving ILL in Texas.
We encourage discussion and
invite feedback from the library community and invite
everyone to comment on the study. Leave comments in

airing throughout Texas starting April 20, 2009. A
file of the ad is posted on the TexShare web site

for your listening convenience. Also on that page,

can read on their broadcasts, and a full listing of
cities and station call numbers where the ad will
