Three discussion lists, or mailing lists,
concerning TexShare are available to help
disseminate important information and provide forums for discussion.
Please note: These lists are configured
not to accept posted messages from anyone who is not
subscribed to them. This is to avoid spam (unsolicited advertisements)
and other non-topical posts. If you are not subscribed, have
changed your e-mail address, or have had a mail server name
change on your campus, your postings will not make it to the
lists. Additionally, you will not be receiving messages from
the lists. If your e-mail address has changed in any way,
you have the option of adding your new e-mail address to our
mailing list software by using a password to change your subscription

TexShare-Users
To subscribe to TexShare-Users, intended for administrative
and general discussion regarding TexShare services, operations,
projects, and governance, fill out the form available to you
at the link below. You will be sent an e-mail requesting confirmation,
to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
Enter your e-mail address on the form and
hit the subscribe button. You have the option of entering
a password or having a password mailed to you. You will NOT
need this password to post or receive messages from the list.
This password will only be needed when you want to edit your
personal mailing list options, or when you want to unsubscribe.
Persons listed as technical contacts will be automatically
subscribed to theTexShare-Users mailing list (unless already
subscribed).

TexShare-Card
TexShare-Card is intended for people designated
as TexShare Card Program liaisons for their TexShare member
libraries. The TexShare-Card mailing list is the official
mode of communication used by TexShare managers and the TexShare
Card Working Group to disseminate and gather information
about the program. The mailing list also provides a forum
for discussion among program participants.
To subscribe to the mailing list, fill out the form available

discussion and sharing of data relating to the TexShare-Courier
Service Working Group and the TExpress
Courier Program.

on patron education and "publicity" programs for
TexShare/Library of Texas done by individual libraries, encourage
the sharing of Reference tips and techniques among libraries,
hints and experiences on using Library of Texas and TexShare,
keep ideas flowing among TexShare Reference class participants.

Other Discussion Lists
TCCJCL@spc.cc.tx.us
TexShare information will be posted to TCCJCL,
an unmoderated mailing list to facilitate communication between
members of the Texas Council of Community and Junior College
Librarians and anyone interested in the issues related to
community and junior college libraries and learning resource
centers in Texas. To subscribe to TCCJCL,
send a message to majordomo@spc.cc.tx.us.
In the body of the message, type in: subscribe
tccjcl your email address. You will receive a confirmation
and request for authorization.
Ovid User Group Mailing List
Ovid Technologies enjoys the support of an independent User
Group, which maintains an Internet mailing list about its
products. This forum is hosted at The University of Toronto.
Through this mailing list, customers exchange technical information
and experiences about their real-world Ovid implementation.
To Subscribe to the Mailing List:
- Begin a message to listserv@listserv.utoronto.ca.
- Leave the "subject" line blank.
- In the body of the message, type Subscribe
CDPLUS-L Firstname Lastname. For example, if your
name were John Jones, you would type Subscribe
CDPLUS-L John Jones.
- Send the message. The mailing list will automatically
generate and e-mail a confirmation message to the address
you specified.
- To complete the subscription process you must reply to
the confirmation message. Reply to the confirmation message
and put the words "ok" in the message area and send the
message. Your reply must be received within 48 hours or
the confirmation will expire, and you will have to begin
the subscription process over.
If you would like to remove your name from the mailing list
at any time, send another message to the mailing list. Leave
the subject blank. The body of the message should say SIGNOFF
CDPLUS-L. You don't need to append your name to the signoff
command; the mailing list knows who you are by your email return
address. If you have any problems or questions regarding
CDPLUS-L, please contact the listowner directly. This person
