| On many campuses, there are going to be computers that may
have Internet access but shouldn't have TexShare access. This
may be due to the type of work that is done on that computer.
More often, however, this type of computer is a server with
anonymous telnet client capabilities. Such a computer allows
anyone on the Internet to telnet to it, essentially take its
IP address, and then access materials from there. This is not
in compliance with licensing agreements for TexShare.
Care must be taken to exclude the IP addresses for any computers
that allow anonymous telnet client sessions.
Please contact
TexShare representatives by telephone or email if you
have any questions.
