| NEW FOR COMMUNITY
COLLEGE LIBRARIES! Faculty, staff and students
of Texas community college libraries can seamlessly connect
to EBSCOhost online resources by using the Google Scholar
search service.
View a brief tutorial on how to access
TexShare’s EBSCOhost
collection via Google Scholar online at http://www.ebscohost.com/special/
resources/texshare/movie/googleScholar.html
Community college libraries running a proxy server
to
authenticate remote users can make this service available
to off-site users by including a Google Scholar link
on their
library websites. For those libraries that do not support
remote
access via a proxy server, this service can currently
be used
on-site within community college libraries. |

Radio spots endorsed by the Texas State Library and
Archives Commission will be airing throughout Texas
starting April 20, 2009! The announcements tell listeners
of the powerful community resources they have available
to them, with library services available both on-site
and on-line.
A file of the ad is posted on the TexShare web site
at http://www.texshare.edu/statistics/radiospots.html
for your listening convenience. Also on that page, downloadable
scripts of the ad that local radio stations can read
on their broadcasts, and a full listing of cities and
station call numbers where the ad will be playing.
Please help us rate the impact of these announcements
by sending anecdotes and/or gate counts and database
usage counts for the month before the ads are run and
the month during which the ads are run. Feedback and
statistics can be sent by e-mail to texshare@tsl.state.tx.us.
