TexShare Card Statistics
for FY2005
The 2006 statistics will need to be submitted
starting August 31, 2005.
Report TexShare Card statistics for the Period
September 1, 2004 - August 31, 2005 here.
The TexShare Card Agreement calls for all statistics
to be reported annually to the Texas State Library.
The statistics should cover September 1, 2004 -
August 31, 2005. If you have only participated for
a few months, please report whatever use you have
had.

The TexShare
Card Working Group encourages TexShare Card
Program libraries to offer checkout and access privileges
to evacuees from areas affected by Hurricane Katrina
and subsequent flooding. Each library will want
to consider what kinds of services it can appropriately
offer, what identification it may require of the
individuals who wish to obtain access, and what
restrictions it may be obliged to place on privileges.
The Working Group does not see a specific role for
the TexShare Card in this situation, but hopes that
participating libraries will be as liberal as their
policies allow in granting access to evacuees.

Materials checked out under the TexShare Card
Program may be returned to the owning libraries
via the TExpress courier service.
The TexShare
Advisory Board has approved a recommendation
by the TexShare
Card Program Working Group and the TexShare
Courier Service Working Group that materials
checked out under the TexShare Card Program be may
returned to the owning libraries via the TExpress
courier service. The TexShare
Card Program Agreement and the TExpress
Shipping Guidelines will be revised to reflect
this change.
