LIMITATIONS:
Check out of circulating materials; Maximum of five
items out at any one time; Checkout is barred if two
or more items are overdue. Does not include Interlibrary
Loan services; access to Computer Center; or checkout
of Reserve materials, which includes laptop computers,
or books in the Textbook Collection.
ELIGIBILITY:
TexShare borrowers may apply for borrowing privileges by presenting
a valid TexShare Card and presenting a photo ID. The borrower
must sign a TexShare Borrower Agreement which outlines borrower
responsibilities.
CARD AVAILABILITY:
Borrowing privileges expire upon the expiration date of the
TexShare Card.
HOURS:
Hours are posted at http://library.austincc.edu/loc/
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
Books may be renewed one time only, in person, by phone,
or through online self-service at http://alicat.austincc.edu/patroninfo.
RETURNS:
Borrowers are responsible for returning materials directly
to any ACC Library by the date/time due. Materials should
be returned in person, or by first class (insured) mail.

OVERDUES:
As a matter of courtesy, an overdue notice usually is
mailed out when an item becomes overdue. Notices are
sent to the address the borrower provides the library.
It is incumbent upon the borrower to maintain a current
address with the library.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS:
Non-circulating items include, but are not limited to, reference
books, audiovisual material, and computer software.
LOANS:
Books circulate for two-weeks to students; three weeks to
faculty/staff. At some locations, back issues of magazines
and journals circulate for three days.
FINES:
Overdue fines and other fees are charged to all borrowers:
faculty, staff, and students. Rates: circulating items
- $.25 per day per item; maximum fine per item is $25.00.
Checkout is barred if two or more items are currently
overdue or if any material is overdue more than four
weeks and/or fines are not paid.
LOST ITEMS:
Items will be presumed lost and charges assessed if not returned
within four weeks from the due date. Borrowers are responsible
for overdue charges after four weeks regardless of whether
or not the item is eventually returned. Lost or damaged charges
include replacement or repair cost of each item, plus any
fines that have accrued, plus a $10.00 processing fee.
BILLING:
Payment is due upon billing. Borrowing privileges will be
suspended for the following reasons: (1) two or more items
are currently overdue; (2) materials are overdue more than
four weeks; (3) overdue fines, lost or damaged charges have
not been paid; (4) library notices have been returned as non-deliverable.
