LIMITATIONS: Patrons must be 12 years of
age to be issued a library card. Patrons under the age of
12 will use a parent\'s or guardian\'s card. A limit of 6
books per person may be checked out at a time. Books are checked
out for 2 weeks unless otherwise stated. Books may be renewed
twice. This can be done in person or over the phone. Have
the barcode number of the book, located on the back cover
ready when you call.
Encyclopedias, dictionaries, genealogical materials and
any other book classified as reference works are for use in
the library only and may not be checked out. Magazines less
than 1 month old must remain in the library. After 1 month,
magazines may be checked out for 2 weeks. Videos are checked
out for 4 nights, 2 videos per family. Books on tape and CD\'s
are limited to 3 per person.
Fines are $.10 per day per book and $1.00 per day for videos.
We do not charge fines for the days we are not open. Materials
may not be checked out if fines have accumulated to over $5.00.
Patrons who have lost or damaged library materials will be
charged the full replacement price and a $5.00 processing
fee.
Computers are available at the library with internet service.
You must have a library card to use the computers and have
read the Bonham Public Library acceptable use policy for the
Internet and have signed an agreement form. Children under
18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
ELIGIBILITY: Patrons may apply for a library card at the
library. To receive a card you must have: Proof of residence.
This can be a utility bill, checkbook, proof of insurance
or anything showing your current address. You must have a
driver\'s license, ID or Social Security number.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Patrons may borrow materials during normal
library hours. Cards are renewed yearly.
HOURS:
Monday: 10:00a.m.
- 7:00p.m.
Tuesday - Friday: 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Saturday: 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Materials may be renewed by phone or
in person.
RETURNS: Materials may be returned by mail or in person to
the library.

OVERDUES: We will notify patrons of overdues by mail. If
no response we will phone or e-mail you.
RECALLS: We will ask the patron to return materials early
if needed by someone else.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference and genealogy materials
do not circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: Materials may be borrowed for 2 weeks.
FINES: Fines are .10 per day and 1.00 per day for videos.
LOST ITEMS:
Lost items are charged at full replacement cost
plus a 5.00 processing fee.
BILLING: Patrons are expected to pay overdue fines when materials
are returned. If fines are large arrangements can be made
to pay them out. However, patrons may not check out items
until all fines are paid.
