LIMITATIONS: Texshare users are limited to three (3) library
materials. Interlibrary loan requests will not be accepted.
All local policies will apply. A copy of the library's
circulation policy is available upon request.
ELIGIBILITY: Texshare borrowers are eligible for privileges
at the Bridge City Public Library upon presentation of a viable
Texshare Card issued by their home library. A photo identification
must be presented, preferably a Texas driver's license. Only
Texshare cardholders ages 18 or older are eligible to check
out library materials.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Card applications are available to patrons
of the Bridge City Public Library who have been members in
good standing for the immediate past six (6) months. Borrowing
privileges are available during regular hours of operation.
Issuance of cards ends fifteen minutes before closing. Texshare
cards must be renewed annually.
HOURS: Monday through Wednesday: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday:
1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday: 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Library closes on all city holidays.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: All materials may be renewed one (1)
time only. Renewals may be made by phone or in person.
RETURNS: All borrowed materials may be returned by deposit
in the outside drop boxes, by mail or in person.

OVERDUES: The Bridge City Public Library notifies patrons
AS A COURTESY ONLY. Responsibility lies with the patron to
return materials by the date due. When possible, the Library
will call patrons one or two weeks past the due date. No long
distance calls will be made. A written notification will be
mailed three (3) weeks past the due date.
RECALLS: Books will not be recalled during the proper borrowing
period.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference, genealogy, audiovisual
equipment, newspapers, current magazine, videos, CDs and DVDs
will not circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: Materials are loaned for two (2) weeks. One
renewal for a similar period is made if the material is not
on reserve for another patron and if it is not a new material.
FINES: Fines for late materials are five cents per day. Patrons
with fines cannot check out any material until the fines are
cleared.
LOST ITEMS:
Items are considered lost when they are thirty
(30) days overdue. Borrowers with lost items will be charged
with replacement costs plus a five dollar ($5) processing
fee per item.
BILLING: Bills are payable upon receipt and may be paid at
the circulation desk or by mail. Failure to pay fines will
result in loss of borrowing privileges. Checks should be made
