LIMITATIONS: General Bullard Community Library borrowing
privileges are extended to TexShare borrowers of 18 years
or older, with the following exceptions: A maximum of 2 circulating
items may be checked out at one time. Excluded items are as
follows: newspapers or periodicals; reference materials, videos,
electronic materials, professional materials; Texas collection,
genealogy collection. Interlibrary loan is not offered on
TexShare cards. On-site computer, Internet access, microfilm
collection, reference and genealogy materials are available
for TexShare use within the library. Borrowing privileges
will be suspended for failure to return items by due date
or for failure to pay assessed charges for late return, damage,
or loss of materials.
ELIGIBILITY: Borrowers must be at least 18 years of age.
Borrowers must present a valid TexShare card from the issuing
library (their home library), photo ID showing current residential
address, and valid library card from their home library.
Borrowers must fill out and sign a Bullard Community Library
borrowing agreement. The same application process is followed
for renewing an expired card or replacing a lost card. There
is a fee to replace a lost Bullard Community Library card.
Borrowing privileges remain in effect until the expiration
date of the TexShare card.
CARD AVAILABILITY: TexShare Card Applications are available
any time the library is open. Cards are distributed only during
the following hours: Monday thru Friday 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.,
and ARE ISSUED ONLY BY THE LIBRARIAN. TexShare Card users
may check out materials any time the Bullard Community Library
is open. TexShare cards issued at Bullard Community Library
will expire on expiration date of the Bullard Community Library
Card. Renewal must be made in person. TexShare cards will
only be issued to patrons with a six-month checkout history
(six successful transactions completed) and who are in good
standing (no fines or overdue books outstanding) at the library.
The patron must have a valid ID and a current phone number
where they can be reached. There will be a 24 hour wait to
issue a card, to verify phone and address. [Because you will
be checking out materials from other Texas libraries, this
measure of caution is for their protection.]
HOURS: Mon., Wed., Fri. 10A.M. to 4P.M.; Tue. & Thu.
10A.M. to 6P.M.; Sat. 10A.M. to 2P.M.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Items borrowed from Bullard Community
Library by TexShare borrowers may not be renewed.
RETURNS: -Borrowers are responsible for returning materials
to Bullard Community Library by the due date.
- Only materials belonging to Bullard Community Library may
be returned at this location.
-Borrowers are encouraged to return Library materials in person
to the Circulation desk during operation hours.
-After hours, materials may be returned to the outside secured
book drop. Items returned after 8 a.m. in the outside drop
box will not be checked in until the following day.
-If returning materials in person is not possible, items should
be mailed to the mailing address below, or sent by other shippers
to the physical address below.
-Items should be postmarked by the due date. The shipping
date will be taken as the return date in assessing late fees.

OVERDUES: -The library is not responsible for notifying borrowers
that materials are overdue. However, borrowers may receive
an overdue notice by phone or mail. Failure to receive a notice
does not absolve charges.
-Notices are sent to the address the borrower provided. It
is incumbent on the borrower to maintain a current address
with Bullard Community
Library. -Failure to return or pay for lost items within 8
weeks of original due date may result in prosecution. Borrower
will be held responsible for court costs in addition to the
library's fines.
-Failure to return and/or pay fines will result in suspension
of privileges, and notification will be sent to the home (issuing)
library.
RECALLS: Borrower will be notified by phone or mail if an
item has been recalled. Borrower will be asked to return the
item as a courtesy. No due date or fine rate change will be
made.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: The library does not circulate the
following: newspapers; periodicals; reference materials; videos;
electronic materials; professional materials; Texas collection;
genealogy collection.
LOAN POLICIES: Loan period for TexShare borrowers is 14 days.
No renewals.
FINES: Fine rates: $.10 per day per item beginning day after
due date. The fine will not exceed the price of the borrowed
item.
Damage to materials shall be determined on a case by case
basis; borrowers are assessed a non-refundable $10.00 processing
fee for damaged materials which can be rebound. Items too
badly damaged to meet circulation standards shall be assessed
full replacement charges; replacement price plus non-refundable
$10.00 processing fee per item.
LOST ITEMS:
An item is considered lost if not returned within
eight weeks of the due date, or the expiration date of the
TexShare card, whichever comes first. Charges are as follows:
the replacement price plus $10.00 processing fee. Overdue
fines are not charged if the borrower has to pay for the lost
item.
BILLING: Payment is due at the time fines/fees are assessed;
payment of fines and lost materials may be made at the circulation
desk or by mail. (See address listed under returns ) Please
include borrower's name, TexShare card number and title of
the borrowed item if paying by mail. TexShare card holder
agrees to pay any charges incurred as a result of late return,
damage, or loss of materials. Failure to comply will result
in the loss of TexShare library card privileges, and notification
of responsible home library
