LIMITATIONS: Library use procedure: Patron must fill
out a library card. Temporary cards are issued first, with
limited restricted use on first visit. Permanent cards will
be mailed to patrons and full access granted at that time.
Patrons have the option for cards to be kept on file in the
library and used with proof of identification. Limited restricted
access would apply to all TexShare cardholders. Books and
materials are checked out for two weeks (14 days) at a time.
Permanent cardholders books will automatically be rechecked
for an additional two weeks. Temporary cardholders and TexShare
cardholders are limited to two weeks on all books and materials.
Number of books that can be checked out at any time: Adult
patrons may check out unlimited materials. Children, Temporary
and TexShare patrons may only take 2 books at a time. Fines
will be charged for overdue books and materials. 5 cents per
day per book. Fine grace period – one day after due
date. Maximum fine per book will be the Replacement Cost.
Patrons are responsible for lost or damaged books and materials.
Cost is for new book plus $1.00 processing fee. Book damage
is * of replacement cost. If book is damaged beyond use, full
price will be required. Grounds for revoking use privileges:
Books or materials not returned and/or fines for Overdue/Damaged/Lost
books not paid, unbecoming conduct, or unacceptable use of
computers and facilities. Full use privileges will be restored
when books are returned, paid for, or restitution made.
ELIGIBILITY: The Crockett County Public Library pledges to
provide free public library service to all persons in Texas
in accordance with the same policies and procedures the Library
has adopted for its local resident customers. All patrons
must fill out a library card to use the Public Library facilities
and to check out books. Children under 12 must have a Parent
or Guardian sign their library card and be responsible for
books checked out and conduct in the Library. CCPL is a full
participant in the TexShare Library Card Program. Required
information verified by proof of identification: Full Name
Mailing and Physical Address. Readable signature. Date of
Birth Driver’s License Number Phone Number (home and
work) E-Mail Address Children under 12 require Parent or Guardian
signature and computer use approval for Internet access.
CARD AVAILABILITY: TexShare cards may be applied for anytime
during regular hours and must be renewed once a calendar year.
Cards will be mailed to patron. Limited restricted use of
all library materials and facilities applies to TexShare cardholders.
HOURS: CCPL is open Monday through Friday. CCPL is closed
10 days per year for major holidays. Monday 9am – 9pm
Tuesday 9am – 6pm Wednesday 9am – 6pm Thursday
9am – 9pm Friday 9am – 5pm
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Books and materials
are checked out for two weeks (14 days) at a time. Permanent
cardholders books will automatically be rechecked for
an additional two weeks. Materials may be renewed in
person, by phone, or by email to
crockco@verizon.net Temporary cardholders and TexShare
cardholders are limited to two weeks on all books and
materials.
RETURNS: Materials may be returned to the library during
regular library hours, or placed in the outside book drop
after hours. TexShare cardholders may return materials by
first class postage by the U.S. Postal Service, by UPS or
FedEx.

OVERDUES: Overdue materials recovery procedure: Phone calls
will be made to all late patrons once a week. Those patrons
who cannot be reached by phone will have a reminder card mailed
to them. CCPL reserves the right to use all legal means of
recovery.
RECALLS: New bestsellers or research materials placed on
reserved waiting lists will only be checked out for 14 days
at a time and will not be automatically renewed. Patrons not
returning reserve materials on time will be notified by phone,
and fines will be charged for late returns. Patrons waiting
for reserved materials will be notified by phone when materials
are available. If materials are not picked up in a timely
manner, they will be passed on to the next patron on the reserve
list.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Non-circulating items include all
reference materials marked R, vertical file materials, newspaper
collections, current issues of all magazines, and all computer
equipment. All reference materials may be used in the library
or photo copies may be made for patrons.
