LIMITATIONS: Borrowers are limited to 5 items for one month from the date their card is issued. Thereafter, they are limited to 15 items checked out at one time. Checkouts of
1.videotape/DVD's,
2.audiobooks on tape /CD,
3.computer software, and
4.musical CD's
are limited to 3 items of each of the four categories per card. Checkout privileges will be denied if you have 1 book 10 days overdue, 1 audiovisual item 5 days overdue, or fines totaling more than $5.00.

ELIGIBILITY: To apply for a TexShare card you must have a Cedar Park Public Library card which has been in use for at least 30 days, be free of fines, have no overdue material and must present your library card and a valid photo ID.
To apply for TexShare borrowing privileges, you must present, your home library card, you TexShare card and a valid picture I.D.

Fri & Sat: 9AM - 5PM
Sun: 1PM - 6PM

CARD AVAILABILITY: Hours that borrowing privileges are granted or cards issued are our normal hours of operation.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:To apply for a TexShare card you must have a Cedar Park Public Library card which has been in use for at least 30 days, be free of fines, have no overdue material and must present your library card and a valid photo ID.
To apply for TexShare borrowing privileges, you must present, your home library card, you TexShare card and a valid picture I.D.

RETURNS : Cedar Park Public Library items may be returned either inside the library, or in the 24 hour return boxes.
Return material, belonging to other libraries, CANNOT be returned to the Cedar Park Public Library, as the library is no longer able to participate in the TEXpress Courier service.

OVERDUES: Overdue notices are sent as a courtesy by email or U.S. mail.

LOAN POLICIES: Length of Loans - Books, books on tape and books on CD are loaned for 2 weeks.
Videos, DVD's, computer software, musical CD's and periodicals are loaned for 1 week.
Items, without holds, may be renewed up to 5 times.

FINES: Overdue fines are charged at the rate of 10 cents per day on books and periodicals. All media material if fined at the rate of $1 per day when overdue.

LOST ITEMS:If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair the charge is the full retail price plus a $7 processing fee. If the book is out of print, or the price unknown, the library charges a flat fee of $30 for a hardbound book or $8 for a paperback plus the $7.00 processing fee. A book is considered "lost" when it is 30 days overdue, and AV items are considered lost when they are 15 days overdue. The patron will be billed for the items at that time. Failure to pay for lost items can result in a complaint being filed in the Cedar Park Municipal Court.
