LIMITATIONS:
There is a 5-item limit. Borrowing privileges will be
denied to anyone with unpaid balance for overdue fines
or lost items.
ELIGIBILITY:
We require some form of photo ID (such as a driver's
license or student ID card) along with the Texshare
card. Borrowers must present these to be photocopied
and supply contact information for our circulation system
at the information desk in the library. No materials
will be loaned to anyone under 17 years of age, but
parents/guardians can borrow on behalf of their children
by taking responsibility for the materials.
CARD AVAILABILITY:
Available during normal operating hours. Privileges
last for the current semester only.
HOURS:
Fall and Spring Semesters: 8:00am-9:00pm M-Th, 8:00am-4:00pm
Fri, 2:00pm-5:00pm Sun; Summer and Interim hours; 8:00am-4:00pm
M-Th, additional hours vary.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Renewal
by phone or email available for items without holds.
RETURNS:
Items must be returned at the information desk of the
library. There is no outside drop box. Return by mail
is acceptable, but allow time for delivery before due
date, and borrower assumes responsibility for items
lost in the mail. .

OVERDUES:
Overdue notices may be sent by mail as a courtesy, but
are not guaranteed. Borrowers are expected to know the
status of materials borrowed and to have them returned
on time.
RECALLS:
Items are not recalled unless overdue and will not be
renewed if a hold is on the item.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS:
Items in locked cases (parts of the Texas collection),
A-V materials, periodicals, microforms, items on reserve,
CJC Archive items and reference materials do not circulate
outside of the library.
LOANS:
Texshare borrowers may borrow for 3 weeks with one renewal
for 3 additional weeks or until the last class day of
the semester, whichever comes first.
FINES:
Texshare borrowers are charged $.10 per day per item
for overdue items. Damaged materials are charged a minimum
of $5 up to the cost of replacement.
LOST ITEMS:
Items overdue at the end of the semester are considered
lost and charged a $50 replacement fee (refundable upon
return of the item) and a non refundable $10 processing
fee, plus any overdue fines accrued.
BILLING:
Bills are payable on receipt, and may be paid during
normal operating hours at the library. Borrowers with
outstanding fines will be denied privileges until these
are cleared up. The home institutions of delinquent
borrowers will be contacted for help in retrieving materials
and fine payment. The home institution may impose other
restrictions according to their policies. CJC students
who are delinquent in returning materials or paying
fines to other libraries will have library privileges
denied at CJC and have their transcripts withheld until
their account is clear. |
