LIMITATIONS:TexShare borrowers are
eligible for privileges upon presentation of a TexShare
Card issued by their home library and a photo ID. TexShare
borrowers will be issued a temporary Collingsworth Public
Library Borrower Card. Children and young adults under
the age of eighteen must secure consent and signature
of parent or legal guardian.
RESTRICTIONS: New patrons are limited
to four items checked out on the first visit. Reference
materials, rare books, genealogy materials, current
issues of periodicals, and special reserve items are
for Library use only. Interlibrary loan is not offered
to TexShare card holders.

HOURS: Regular Hours are: Monday
and Thursday: 8:00 am until 8:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Friday: 8:00 am until 5:30 pm Closed Saturday and
Sunday During the summer and school holidays the library
opens at 9:30 am.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Borrowing privileges
and card applications are available during regular hours
of operation. Borrowing privileges remain in effect
for one year providing the patron remains in good standing.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Materials may
be renewed for one circulation period if no reserves
or holds have been placed on the materials. If the item
cannot be renewed because of reserves or holds, it must
be returned immediately. Overdue items cannot be renewed.
Renewals may be made in person, by phone, by fax, or
by e-mail.
RETURNS: All materials may be returned
during regular Library hours at the circulation desk
or by first class mail. An after hours drop is also
available. If returned by mail, the borrower is responsible
for insurance and for loss if not insured.

OVERDUES: An overdue notice is mailed
when materials become overdue. A notice is mailed when
the materials are one month overdue requesting payment
in full or immediate return of the materials. Patrons
who owe $10.00 or more will be blocked from
borrowing until the amount is paid.
RECALLS: Materials are not recalled.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference
materials, rare books, current issues of periodicals,
micro forms, genealogy materials, school annuals, National
Geographics, and newspapers do not circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: The loan period is
fourteen days for print materials and audio books, seven
days for periodicals, and three days for video tapes
(longer by request at the discretion of the librarian).
FINES: Video tapes accrue fines at
a rate of $1.00 per day per tape. Fees for damaged materials
are based on the actual cost of repair or replacement.
LOST ITEMS: An item is considered
lost when one month overdue. The library has adopted
a set fee for each type of material. That fee plus a
$3.00 processing fee will be assessed and is due at
that time.
BILLING: Payment of fines and fees
may be made at the circulation desk or by mail. Please
include your name and the title of borrowed items if
paying by mail. Unpaid bills are turned over to the
Collingsworth County Judge.
