LIMITATIONS: A TexShare card holder
may check out up to a total of ten items for four weeks.
Two of the items may be videotapes or DVDs, but these
are to be checked out for fourteen days. Items not available
to be checked out by TexShare borrowers include: periodicals,
reference books, books on reserve, CDs, CD-ROMs, items
in special collections, and media equipment. Interlibrary
Loan service is also not available. A card holder is
blocked from further check out privileges until any
outstanding bills are paid and/or overdue books are
returned.
ELIGIBILITY: Each time a TexShare
card holder wishes borrowing privileges, a TexShare
card and a photo ID are to be presented at the library's
circulation desk.
CARD AVAILABILITY: A DBU Library card
will be issued on the first visit. Borrowing privileges
expire on the expiration date of the TexShare card.

and Wednesday during Chapel 10:00am-11:00am)
Saturday 7:30am-5:00pm
Sunday 2:30pm-11:00pm.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: No renewals
allowed.
RETURNS: Returned items are
to be brought to the library's circulation desk either
in person, delivered and insured by U.S. mail, or delivered
by UPS/Express mail. Items may not be returned via Interlibrary
Loan.

OVERDUES: Two
overdue reminders are sent to patrons, two weeks apart.
If for some reason an overdue notice is not received,
the fine is still due.
RECALLS: All items are subject to recall. A patron
will be notified by telephone if an item is being recalled;
a new due date will be assigned. Recalled items must be received
at the DBU library within seven days of notification. A $1.00
per day fine will be in effect if the new due date is not
met.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference books,
periodicals, reserve items, CDs, CD-ROMs, items in special
collections, media equipment.
LOAN POLICIES: Books and audio
tapes may be borrowed for four weeks, fourteen days
for video tapes and DVDs.
FINES: The fine for books and audio tapes is $.25 per
day; the fine for video tapes and DVDs is $1.00 per
day per item. The maximum fine limit is $12.50 for books
and audio tapes; $40.00 for video tapes and DVDs.
LOST ITEMS: Each item that is 50 days overdue will
be considered missing/lost. If the item cannot be found,
the borrower must pay the replacement cost of $50.00
or obtain a replacement copy which must be approved
by the DBU library's Technical Services Director.
BILLING: Payment of bills is due immediately. Checks
are to be made out to Dallas Baptist University Library
and sent to the mailing address as given previously.
If library fines or fees are not paid, all library privileges
will be suspended. Also, notification will be made to
the borrower's home library requesting that the borrower
be blocked at the home library as well as at all participating
TexShare libraries until the bills are paid. |
