LIMITATIONS: 5 items checked out for 3 weeks
at a time. Tex Share users have same rules. $.10 a day
per item when overdue except videos are $1.00 (videos
only checked out for 1 day or a week-end) Patrons are
blocked from service and privileges when fines are unpaid.
ELIGIBILITY: Same rules apply as our
regular card. It requires a photo id for patrons. Those
under 18 years of age, parents sign for them.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Borrowers may check
out during the hours of that the library is open. There
are no restrictions.
HOURS:
8:30 to 5:00 Monday Through Friday
8:30 to 9:00 on Thursdays
Our hours do not change.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Renewals are done
in person, by phone, by e-mail
RETURNS: Returns are done at circulation
desk or through the book drop. Videos are the only materials
that return to the circulation desk only because of
breakage through the book drop

OVERDUES: We remind our patrons of
overdue materials by phone and letter.
RECALLS: We notify patrons that have
books that other patrons need by phone and letter
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Magazines,
vertical files, reserve books, Texana reserve materials
and museum materials
LOAN POLICIES: Texshare and regular
patrons have a 21 day or three week check out period.
There are no special restrictions on Texshare cardholders.
FINES: Fines are $.10 a day for all
materials except videos. These materials have a $5.00
ceiling. Videos are checked out one day at a time with
$1.00 a day fees. Videos also have a $5.00 ceiling.
Damaged materials are charged $3.00 and materials beyond
repair are charged the full price for the item.
LOST ITEMS: After three months if
the item is not retrieved with phone messages or letters,
then the item is "lost". The patron is then
charged the value assigned the material when it was
cataloged.
BILLING: Bills are due upon receipt
of the letter. Payment can be made by mail or in person.
If the fines and materials lost amount to over $50,
the library has the option to sue the patron in county
court for the bill.
ADDITIONAL: Our circulation policy
is available upon request by mail or will soon be on
our website when it is up and running.
