LIMITATIONS: TexShare cardholders will be held to the same borrowing limits as local patrons at the library. If a cardholder's fine exceeds $5.00, borrowing privileges will be suspended until the fine is paid.

ELIGIBILITY:All information and forms pertaining to the TexShare program are available at the reference desk in the library. In addition to completing an application, cardholders must have both a current TexShare card and a current form of photo ID (driver's license, school ID, etc.)

HOURS:Mon - Wed: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thurs: Noon to 9 p.m. Fri & Sat: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed Sunday

CARD AVAILABILITY: TexShare borrowing privileges are granted and cards are issued at any time during regular business hours.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS : Materials can be renewed in person, by phone, or online. The borrower's library card number is required to renew items.

RETURNS : The cardholder is responsible for returning all items to the library before the end of the checkout period. The materials may be returned in person, by mail, or using a delivery service, but the cardholder assumes all expenses involved in returning the items.

OVERDUES: Overdue notices will be sent by mail.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: TexShare cardholders are eligible to borrow all circulating materials.

LOAN POLICIES: Checkout periods vary according to the type of material borrowed, but are the same for both resident and TexShare cardholders.

FINES: Fines vary according to the type of material borrowed, but are the same for both resident and TexShare cardholders. Maximum fines are $5.00/item for most materials & $10.00/item for new books and video formats.

LOST ITEMS: If an item is lost, the cardholder is charged for the price of the item plus a $5.00 processing fee. If a lost item is recovered within one year, the cardholder is given a refund minus the processing fee and any fines due at the time the material was recovered

BILLING: Payment of fines and lost charges can be made in person or by mail. If more than $5.00 is owed by the cardholder, borrowing privileges are suspended at the Friendswood library and the institution which issued the TexShare card is informed and encouraged to suspend borrowing privileges as well.
