LIMITATIONS: New patrons are limited to a single item checked
out on the first visit. Thereafter no check-out limits are
imposed unless otherwise indicated. Reference materials, vertical
file materials, rare books, and CD-ROMs are for Library use
only. Charges for books or materials that are lost or damaged
are cost plus $2.50 per item. Materials are deemed lost when
one month overdue. No fines are imposed for overdue books.
The use of the Library may be denied for due cause. Objectionable
conduct, creating a disturbance, destruction of property,
failure to abide by the rules of operation, or interference
with service to others may be considered sufficient grounds
to effect suspension of Library priviledges.
ELIGIBILITY: TexShare borrowers are eligible for privileges
upon presentation of a TexShare Card issued by their home
library and a photo ID. TexShare borrowers will be then issued
a temporary Kendalia Public Library Borrower Card. Children
and young adults under the age of eighteen must secure consent
and signature of parent or legal guardian.

pm

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Materials may be renewed for one 14
day period if no reserves or holds have been placed on materials.
Renewals may be made in person or by phone.
RETURNS: Materials may be returned during regular Library
hours at the circulation desk or may be placed in the book
drop or returned by mail.

OVERDUES: Borrowers will be reminded by phone of overdues
when the materials are one week overdue. An overdue notice
is mailed when the materials are one month overdue requesting
payment in full or immediate return of the materials. Obligations
outstanding longer than six months result in suspension of
all Library priviledges.
RECALLS: Materials are not recalled. Materials requested
by or on reserve for other patrons are not renewable.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference materials, vertical file
materials, rare books, and special reserves do not circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: The loan period is fourteen days for print
materials and books on tape, and three days for video tapes.
A one week grace period is allowed for mail return.
FINES: Video tapes accrue fines at a rate of $1.00 per day
per tape. Fees for damaged materials are based on the actual
cost of repair or replacement. Photocopies are .10 per sheet
and must comply with applicable copyright law. No other fines
or fees are assessed.
LOST ITEMS:
At item is considered lost when one month overdue.
A charge equal to replacement cost plus $2.50 handling will
be assessed and is due at that time.

suspended until outstanding obligations are resolved.
