RESTRICTIONS/LIMITATIONS: There are
no special restrictions on TexShare Library Card patrons
visiting the Kennedale Public Library. TexShare patrons
will adhere to the same policies and restrictions as
regular card holders. Materials may be checked out by
those holding a valid library card in good standing
(those not owing fines, fees. or for damaged or lost
material). Three (3) items may be checked out per valid
card at one time, however the library reserves the right
to limit the number of titles borrowed, especially in
certain high demand subject areas, academic required
reading, or holiday books. The check out of books and
audio books may be extended up to a maximum of 6 weeks,
unless reserved for another patron or on the school's
required reading list. Material marked as "Reference"
may not be checked out.
ELIGIBILITY: Library cards may be
issued to any adult, 18 years of age or older, who applies
in person at the Kennedale Public Library during normal
operating hours. A photo identification plus printed
proof of current address will be required at time of
application.
CHECK-OUT CARD AVAILABILITY: Card
applications must be made in person at the Kennedale
Public Library during normal operating hours.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Year round hours

Tue-Thur 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Fri-Sat 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
RENEWALS: Renewals must be made in
person or by phone and may not exceeded a maximum of
6 weeks.
RETURNS: All material must be returned
to the library circulation desk or left in the outside
book return located on the library's front porch.

OVERDUE REMINDERS: Overdue notices
are mailed every week to current address given to library
staff at time of application. Patrons are responsible
for keeping their personal information current. Fines
will still apply if patron fails to update current address.

RECALLS: If material is needed by
another patron, library staff will attempt to notify
the current holder by phone or mail if no phone is listed.
There is not a change in due date or cost of fines.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: All materials
that do not circulate are marked "Reference"
with the exception of National Geographic Magazines
and local newspapers.
LOAN POLICIES: TexShare borrowers
are given the same loan privileges as other Kennedale
patrons.
Books may be checked out for 14 days.
VHS/DVDs may be checked out for 7 days.
Audio books may be checked out for 14 days.
All other material that circulates may be checked out
for 14 days.
FINES AND FEES: There are no special
restrictions on TexShare Library Card patrons visiting
the Kennedale Public Library but they will adhere to
the same policies and restrictions as regular card holders.
Fines are $.15 per day for all inventory items. Patrons
will be charged the cost to repair damages. Fines will
not exceed the inventory listed price.
LOST ITEMS: Materials that are not
returned to the library within 30 days after the due
date will be considered lost. Lost materials will result
in charges equal to the price of the materials as indicated
in library inventory plus processing costs.
BILLING INFORMATION: All fines are
due when materials are returned to the library. If materials
are returned in the outside book return, by mail or
any way other than in person to the circulation desk,
the fines will be added to the patrons account and payment
will be expected at time of the next visit. No materials
may be checked out until outstanding fines have been
paid, this includes the use of public computers.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Each TexShare
Card issued by the Kennedale Public Library will expire
six months from date issued.
