LIMITATIONS: Texshare users are limited to
3 library books. Interlibrary loan requests do not apply.
All local policies will apply. A copy of Kountze Public Library's
circulation policy is available upon request. No videos, CDs,
audio books, reference books, genealogy,magazines or Big Thicket/Local
History books.
ELIGIBILITY: Borrowers must show Texshare
card issued by their home library. A photo id is required
with current address, preferably a Texas driver's license
or picture id. Only Texshare cardholders who are 18 years
or old are eligible to check out library books. Borrower must
have working phone number. Borrower must fill out application
card with Kountze Public Library before checking out library
books. This procedure should be completed at the circulation
desk. Borrowers should owe no back fines at Kountze Publlic
Library.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Borrowers must check
out books during regular library hours which are from 8:30
to 5:30 Monday through Friday and 9:30 to 12:30 on Saturday.Kountze
Public Library is closed on all legal holidays and Sundays.
Borrowers must be members in good standing with Kountze Public
Library. We prefer that all borrowing transactions be completed
15 minutes prior to library closing. Texshare cards should
be renewed annually.
HOURS:
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Saturdays 9:30 to 12:30 PM.
Closed Sundays and all legal holidays and any other holidays
recognized by the City of Kountze, Texas.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Renewals may be made
either in person or by phone. Only one renewal allowed. Check
out is for two week period.
RETURNS: Books may be returned in mail,
book return or in person.

OVERDUES: Responsibility lies with the library
patron to return books on time. When possible, the library
may issue reminders by mail or phone. No long distance calls
will be made.
RECALLS: Books will not be recalled during
proper borrowing period.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference materials,
genealogy, some local history, Big Thicket history.
LOAN POLICIES: Books may be checked out
for two weeks only. One renewal per check out period if the
book is not on reserve for another patron.
FINES: Fines for overdue books are ten cents
per day. Lost or damaged items will be replacement cost of
the book. Patrons will fines cannot check out any material
until fines are cleared.
LOST ITEMS: Items are considered lost
when item is overdue for 30 days. Charges will be for book
replacement.
BILLING: If item is not paid, for borrowing
privileges will be suspended.
