RESTRICTIONS/LIMITATIONS: Items may
be borrowed from the circulating collection only, but
patrons may use non-circulating materials in-house.
Interlibrary loan is restricted to current faculty,
staff and students of Lamar State College-Orange. Some
electronic resources are restricted under licensing
agreements.
ELIGIBILITY: Borrowers must present
a valid TexShare card issued by the participating home
library, and a valid photo ID card.
CHECK-OUT CARD AVAILABILITY: Lamar
State College-Orange issued TexShare card privileges
will expire for students at the end of the issuing semester.
TexShare cards will be issued for any student or faculty,
in good standing, requesting a card from the library.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Sunday: Closed
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
Hours may vary for interim, holiday and final exam periods.
RENEWALS: Renewals are to be made
in person, by phone, or online if no other borrower
has requested circulating material. Materials may be
renewed once. Overdue materials will not be renewed.
RETURNS: Borrowers are encouraged
to return items in person. If not returned in person,
materials must be securely packaged and shipped by a
traceable and insured delivery carrier within the loan
period. The borrower is responsible for the materials
from the time of checkout until they are checked in.
Late fees will be assessed for materials received after
the due date.

OVERDUE REMINDERS: The borrower is
responsible for returning materials by the due date.
Courtesy reminders are sent but the library accepts
no responsibility for late or non-delivered notices.
The borrower is "delinquent" after materials
are due. Privileges are suspended until materials are
returned and fines paid.
RECALLS: All items are subject to
recall after 21 days or immediately if needed by faculty
or staff.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference,
course reserves, periodicals, and microforms do not
circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: Students may generally
borrow materials for 21 days. Special material types
have special loan periods.
FINES AND FEES: Twenty-five cents
per day is charged for most overdue materials. Fees
for damaged or lost materials include replacement and
processing charges according to the current policy and
rate schedule in effect at the time of circulation.
Borrowers are responsible for all materials.
LOST ITEMS: Lost items should be reported
to Lamar State College-Orange as soon as possible so
fines can be paid and overdue fees stopped.
BILLING INFORMATION: Payment of fines
or fees for late, lost, or damaged materials must be
made at the Lamar State College-Orange Library or by
mail.
