LIMITATIONS: TexShare cardholders may borrow 2 circulating print items. Borrowers must be in good standing with Marion Community Library and other TexShare libraries, with no outstanding fines or overdues. Interlibrary loan privileges and facilities use privileges do not extend to TexShare borrowers.

ELIGIBILITY: Borrowers must have a valid TexShare card issued to them by their home library and a Texas Driver's License or other photo ID showing a permanent address. Cards will be issued to adults (over 18 years of age) only. TexShare applicants will be asked to fill out an application. Applications are available at the circulation desk. Applicants must be in good standing with other TexShare libraries and with Marion Community Library.

CARD AVAILABILITY: Card must be renewed annually.

Monday/Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm
Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm
Summer/Holiday/Spring Break hours:
Tuesday 4:00pm-8:00pm
Wednesday/Thursday 1:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm
Necessary deviations from stated hours are posted at the library.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Materials may not be renewed.

RETURNS: Borrowers are responsible for returning materials in good condition directly to Marion Community Library, either to the circulation desk return during hours of operation, or by U.S. Mail.

OVERDUES: As a courtesy, library staff will endeavor to send out one reminder of overdue items, but it is the patron's responsibility to be aware of due dates and to return materials on time.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference, genealogy, local history, newspapers, oversize volumes, Texana, CDs, CD-ROMs, audiocassettes, videocasssettes, kits, and realia do not circulate to TexShare borrowers.

LOAN POLICIES: Materials are loaned for 14 days (two weeks).

FINES: Late fee is 10 cents per item per day.

LOST ITEMS: An item is declared lost when the patron so notifies the library, or when the item has not been returned within 14 days of due date. Library staff will mail a bill notice to the patron. Charge for lost items is the retail replacement cost of the item plus a $3.00 processing fee.

BILLING: Bills are payable upon receipt and may be pain in cash or by check at the Circulation Desk or by mail within 14 days of receipt. Payment arrangements may be made on large balances at the discretion of the library director. Checks should be made payable to Marion Community Library and mailed to TexShare Card Program, Marion Community Library, P. O. Box 619, Marion, Texas 78124. Please include TexShare Card number and title of item if paying by mail. Failure to comply will result in the loss of TexShare privileges. Notification will be sent to the home library.
