LIMITATIONS:
Limit 3 items checked out. One renewal allowed. Borrowing
privileges will be blocked when items are overdue or
fines unpaid. No access allowed to subscription databases
except on Townsend Memorial Library computers. No Interlibrary
Loan privileges.
ELIGIBILITY:
Patrons from other colleges or universities: Please
present a valid TexShare card along with current ID
from your home university or college and fill out a
TexShare patron information sheet at the circulation
desk. Patrons will be issued a barcoded library card
to be used when checking out items from UMHB. Patrons
must present this card along with their current TexShare
card each time they check items out. Cards will expire
at the end of the current UMHB semester but may be renewed
the following semester once a current TexShare card
is presented.
Patrons from public libraries: Please present a current
TexShare card along with a state-issued picture ID and
fill out a TexShare patron information sheet at the
circulation desk. Patrons will be issued a barcoded
library card that must be presented along with the current
TexShare card each time that items are checked out.
Cards will expire 1 month before the expiration date
on the TexShare card issued by the public library but
may be renewed once a new TexShare card is presented.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
Renewals may be made through the library website, in
person, or by phone. On the library website, click on
Renew Your Items, enter your name and your library card
number. Click on items checked out and follow directions
for renewal. Only one renewal is permitted, and only
if the item has not been recalled or a hold placed on
it.
RETURNS:
Borrowers are responsible for returning items by the
due date. Items may be returned to the circulation desk
or the book drops located at the entrance to the library
as well as the west side of the building. Returns may
be mailed to the address below.

Overdue notices are sent by mail.
OVERDUE REMINDERS:
Overdue notices are sent via email unless there is no
email address on file.
RECALLS:
Recall notices are sent by email unless there is no
email address on file. Patrons will have 3 days from
the date of recall to return the items before the fines
increase from $0.10 to $0.50 per day.
BILLING INFORMATION:
Bills may be paid in person or by mail. Make checks
payable to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Failure
to pay fines will result in loss of borrowing privileges.
No credit or debit card payments accepted.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference,
Special Collections, periodicals, microforms, kits,
and state-adopted textbooks are non-circulating.
LOAN POLICIES: 3 week load period
for books. 1 week loan period for CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks.
FINES: Overdue charges are $0.10 per
day for books and $0.25 per day for CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks.
LOST ITEMS:
An item is considered lost when it is not returned by
30 days following the expiration date of the semester
the item was checked out. Lost book charges are $50
or the cost of the item if it exceeds $50, plus any
accumulated fines up to a maximum of $25 in fines.
Damaged items will be billed according to the damage.
