LIMITATIONS: TexShare borrowers are
limited to checking out three items. Interlibrary loan
services are not available on Texshare cards. Borrowing
privileges will be blocked if there are any overdue
books or fees. Privileges do not include remote access
to electronic databases under contract or restricted
by licensing agreements. Library patrons applying for
a TexShare card must be 16 years or older.
ELIGIBILITY: The patron must present
a valid TexShare card and photo identification (driver's
license with current address or other document with
current address). TexShare borrowers from another library
system will be issued a McKinney Memorial Public Library
card at the circulation desk. These cards will expire
on the same date as the TexShare card.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Cards are issued
during regular hours of operation. TexShare cards issued
by M.M.P.L. are good for one year from the date of issue.
HOURS:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Friday and Saturday: 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Sunday: 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Holiday hours are posted on our website and at the library.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Items can be
renewed once by phone, in person or through the website
if items are not overdue or on hold for another person.
RETURNS: Only materials belonging to the
McKinney Memorial Public Library may be returned to
this location. Borrowed materials from this library
may be returned in person, in the library book drops,
or through the mail. Mailed items must be posted to
arrive on or before the due date.

OVERDUES: Overdue reminders will be
sent by mail or email.
RECALLS: Items requested by other
patrons may not be renewed.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference,
genealogy, microfiche, microfilm, magazines, newspapers,
and audiovisual materials may not be checked out on
a TexShare card.
LOAN POLICIES: Books check out for two weeks.
FINES: Overdue fines are 25 cents
per day.
LOST ITEMS: Lost materials have a processing
fee of $5.00 added to the cost of the item.
BILLING: Payment for fines, fees,
or lost materials can be made at the McKinney Memorial
Public Library, 101 E. Hunt St., McKinney, TX 75069.
