LIMITATIONS: All first time users are limited to two(2)items;
after that patrons are limited to 10 items per check-out,
no limit on renewal except for items on hold, services are
blocked to patrons until all fines are paid and all materials
returned. Limit of two(2) videos per card holder.
ELIGIBILITY: To apply for a Melissa Public LIbrary Card:
fill out application, must have a valid Texas Drivers License
or legal ID card, anyone under 18 years-old must have a parent/
guardian apply for them. All applicants must be able to sign
their name on the card.
CARD AVAILABILITY: During regular hours.
HOURS:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri. 10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M.
Thursday 12:00-8:00 P.M.
Saturday 10:00 A.M.-2:30 P.M.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Patrons may renew over the phone and
in person. May not renew videos/DVDs.
RETURNS: Return to the return cart
or the outside return box

OVERDUES: Overdue notices may be sent
RECALLS: High demand materials may be renewwd only one time
then must be returned.
LOAN POLICIES: Home schoolers have
a 21 day loan period. Normal loan period is 14 days
for books, 2 days per video,DVD, five days for magazines.
FINES: normal fine rates .25 per day per book, $1.00 per
day per video.
LOST ITEMS:
We charge the cost of replacement.
BILLING: No check out for anyone until all bills are paid
in full.
ADDITIONAL: We have a "Christmas in July" program
any overdue material returned between July 1st and July 31st
the fines are waived.
