LIMITATIONS: Each TexShare cardholder may check out two (2)
books. No Interlibrary Loan services may be requested. No
non-circulating materials may be requested. No checkouts will
be allowed to borrowers with overdue materials or unpaid bills.
TexShare cards, along with photo ID showing current mailing
address, must be presented at time of checkout.
ELIGIBILITY: TexShare cards may be issued to patrons who
are at least eighteen (18) years old with six (6) months'
checkout history that includes six (6) or more successful
transactions. No card will be issued to patrons who owe for
materials or who are habitually or excessively late in returning
items or paying fines or fees. Applications may be made at
the circulaiton desk by presenting a valid Driver's License
or other photo ID showing applicant's permanent address.
CARD AVAILABILITY: TexShare cards will be issued during regular
hours of operation. Cards will be valid for six (6) months.
Renewals of cards must be made in person.
HOURS: Library hours are from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday
through Thursday and from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Saturday.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Materials may be renewed by phone,
in person or by email. Items may be renewed one (1) time only.
No renewals will be allowed on overdue items or items that
have been placed on reserve.
RETURNS: Items must be returned to the Menard Public Library
facility by the due date. A book drop is available 24 hours
a day.

OVERDUES: It is the responsibility of the borrower to return
materials on time. Menard Public Library accepts no responsibility
for notifying patrons of overdue materials. One (1) notice
may be sent as a reminder.
RECALLS: No recalls should be expected but materials requested
by another patron will not be rechecked.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference materials, genealogy and
other selected materials do not circulate.
LOAN POLICIES: Loan period is for twenty-eight (28) days.
FINES: Fines are twenty (20) cents per day, not to exceed
the replacement cost of the item.
LOST ITEMS:
An item is considered lost if not returned within
four (4) weeks of the due date. Materials are generally replaced
at retail value at the time of purchase, plus a $5.00 processing
fee.
BILLING: All bills are due on receipt. Payment of lost materials
may be made at the circulation desk or by mail at the address
listed under"returns." Please include the TexShare
card number and the title of the item.
