LIMITATIONS:
The patron must have had a library card at
the Newark Public Library for at least six months and it has
used it responsibly for that period of time (i.e., no long
overdue material, consistently overdue, and or lost material).
ELIGIBILITY: The patron must apply in person at 207 Hudson
street during normal busness hours. The patron must be 17
years of age or older to be issued a TexShare card. The patron
must have a valid ID and a current phone number where they
can be reached. There will be a 24 hour wait to issue a card,
to verify phone and address. CARD AVAILABILITY: The patron may use their TexShare card
at our location during normal business hours Mon-Tues-Thurs-Fri
10am until 6pm and Sat. 9am until 1pm. The TexShare card will
be valid for 1 year and may be renewed every year as long
as the patrons circulation record remains clear.
HOURS: Monday - Tuesday - Thursday - Friday 10am til 6pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm We are closed Wednesday and Sunday We close
for all state holidays as well as some special Library meetings
or bad weather days.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: The patron can renew an item one time
to extend their checkout period for an additional 14 days.
This renewal may be done in person or by phone (817-489-2224)or
e-mail (director@newarklib.org)
RETURNS: Items must be returned by there due date. In person,
drop box located at The Newark City Hall, or by insured mail. MAIL RETURN:

EXPRESS MAIL: 207 Hudson Street Newark,

OVERDUES: The first time the patron will be called to remind
them of the overdue material. The second notice will be mailed.
If the patron has a current e-mail address they will receive
a reminder via e-mail. If no response or return the request
will be turned over to our local police for collection, and
or local court.
RECALLS: No item will be recalled. A patron has 14 days.
If an item is on reserve. The patron may renew the item 14
more days, but then it must be returned for the next patron
who has it reserved.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Videos, Magazines, newspapers, Reference
Material
LOAN POLICIES: 14 days plus one renewal
FINES: $0.25 per day for books for late returns
LOST ITEMS:
Replacement is the cost of the item thru Baker
and Taylor. Plus a $3.00 processing fee. If the item is no
longer available a replacement of like material will be expected
per the directors discretion.
BILLING: Fees are due upon request (phone or mail) Payment
can be made in person or by mail. Please include TexShare
card #, Your Name, as well as which book or books you are
paying for.
