TexShare Library Card Program

LIAISON:
LIMITATIONS: TexShare card holders are allowed
general circulation privileges excluding interlibrary
loan. General circulation privileges include two books
for two weeks with one renewal and two videos for one
week with no renewals. Items which do not circulate
include periodicals, reference materials, microforms,
vertical file, archival, and genealogical materials.
Reserve materials may be checked out and used in the
library with proper identification. Privileges will
be suspended for non-return of materials by due date
or failure to pay billed charges.
ELIGIBILITY: M.P. Baker Library honors valid
TexShare library cards. Participants should apply at the circulation
desk or ILL Office with a picture I.D.
CARD AVAILABILITY: : TexShare Library cards
will expire according to TexShare regulations. Currently,
student cards will expire at the end of each semester and
faculty cards will expire at the end of the Summer semester.
Cards are honored during all operating hours.

Fall and Spring Semesters:
M-Th.: 7:30am - 9:00pm
Fri.: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Sun.: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
Summer Semesters:
M-Th.: 7:30-5:00pm
Fri.: 7:30-12:30pm
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: : One renewal is allowed
per book unless a request/hold has been placed on the item
by another patron. Renewals may be placed in person, by phone,
email, or online.
RETURNS: Books should be returned on or
before the due date in person,through first class mail to
the main circulation desk, or in the overnight drop by the
front doors of the library. TexShare Card holders agree to
pay charges incurred as a result of late return, damage, or
loss of materials. Failure to comply will result in the loss
of TexShare Library Card privileges.

OVERDUES: : The library is not responsible
for notifying borrowers that materials are overdue. However,
as a courtesy, notices are mailed via the U.S. Postal Service
and sent to valid email addresses when materials are overdue.
RECALLS: Borrowers will be notified by phone,
email, and the U.S. Postal service when an item has been recalled.
However, due dates and fine rates will not change upon recall.

LOAN POLICIES: Book materials may be borrowed for two weeks.
FINES: Fines are $.25 per day per book and
$1.00 per day per video. The maximum fine for overdue items
is same as replacement costs of $50. We accept checks made
to Panola College or cash if it is paid in person at the circulation
desk. Credit card payments may be made to the Panola College
Business Office until 6:00pm M-Th and until 12:30pm on Fridays
during the Fall and Spring Semesters or 5:00pm M-Th and 12:30pm
on Fridays during the Summer semesters.
LOST ITEMS: Borrowers are responsible
for all library materials until the items are discharged from
their account by payment for the lost item or its return.
An item is considered lost if it is not returned by the end
of the semester.
BILLING: Payments are due at the time overdue
or damaged books are returned to the main circulation desk.
Payments may be made to the main circulation desk. Failure
to pay fines will result in loss of borrowing privileges.
