LIMITATIONS: TexShare card holders
may check out items for the 4 week time span with no rechecks.
The fine is 10 cents per day. They will be restricted to 15
items total. Movies (videos) may be checked out for 3 days
with a $1 per day fine. The limit is 3 videos. Instructional
type videos are checked out like books but only 3 may be checked
out. Periodicals, reference books, CD-ROM's, Archives collection,
and microfilm can not be checked out and must be used in house.
The TexShare card holder may use the computers with the restrictions
of all users. One hour time limit unless there is no one waiting.
This includes word processing, intenet and programs on the
local area network.
ELIGIBILITY: TexShare borrowers will
come to the circulation desk in order to obtain a borrower
card. They must show a picture I.D. and a college or university
library card and proof that they are currently enrolled.
CARD AVAILABILITY: TexShare card holder
will renew by the semester after proving that they are still
enrolled.

Christmas break, spring break, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day,

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
The renewal will be in person and the card holder must have
his card and proof of enrollement.
RETURNS:
The borrower may return items to the circulation desk, at
the book drop at the back of the building, and by mail if
they so wish.

OVERDUES: Reminders are sent by mail
when the materials are 1 week overdue. A second reminder is
sent the 2nd week and a 3rd the third week. Phoning is done
on some occasions. If the item is not returned, the card holder
is blocked from checking out other items.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Archives collection,
microfilm of newspapers and periodicals, reference materials,
periodicals, CD-ROM.
LOANS: The check out period for print and
non-print materials (exception movie videos and reserve items)
is 4 weeks for students, the community and TexShare borrowers.
There is no recheck. The faculty for the semester. (Exception
for TexShare card holders who are faculty, the limit will
be 4 weeks with no recheck. Movie videos are checked out for
3 days with no recheck and the limit is 3. The limit is also
3 on instructional/informational videos. Reserve materials
are either in house or overnight.
FINES: The fine for print and non-prints
is 10 cents per day overdue. The movie video fine is $1.00
per day. Reserve materials are fined at $1 per hour. There
is a $5 handling fee plus cost of item for damaged or lost
items. Fines are never more than half the cost of the
book.
LOST ITEMS: An item is considered
lost after one year if the patron nor the library has been
able to find the item. There is a $5 handling fee plus the
cost of the item.
BILLING: The bills are due immediately.
The fines may be paid at the circulation desk or the card
holder may contact the circulation desk supervisor to ascertain
amount owed and may pay via mail. There will be a block placed
on the cardholder if fines are not paid, books returned or
lost or damaged books paid for. This means they may not check
out materials, use the computers, etc. and not enroll for
any classes at PJC including continuing education.
