LIMITATIONS: TexShare borrowers of PPLS materials have the same privileges as regular patrons. Borrowing privileges will be blocked if there are any overdue books or if fines, fees, or lost charges remain unpaid.

ELIGIBILITY: TexShare borrowers from another library system will be issued a PPLS library card at the circulation desk of any of the five libraries. The patron must present a valid TexShare card and legal proof of identification (driver's license with current address and photo ID). If the patron is a minor (under 18), a parent's signature is required for internet use.

CARD AVAILABILITY: Cards are issued during regular hours of operation. TexShare cards are good for one year from the date of issue.

LIBRARY HOURS:

Monday-Thursday: 10am to 9pm
Friday & Saturday: 10am to 6pm
Sunday: 1pm-5pm
Holiday hours are posted on our website and at the libraries.

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:  Items can be renewed once by phone, in person or through the website if items are not overdue or on hold for another person.

RETURNS: Borrowed materials may be returned in person at any library or in the library book drop. Free standing book drops for books only are available at four Plano locations. The addresses are listed on the library website. Mailed items must be posted to arrive on or before the due date.

OVERDUES: Overdue reminders will be sent by mail.

RECALLS: We do not recall items. However, items on hold may not be renewed.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference, genealogy, microfiche, microfilm, Texana collection, literacy tutor materials.

LOAN POLICIES: Books, audio books, and music CDs are checked out for three weeks. Most videos and DVDs have a one week checkout (instructional videos and DVDs check out for three weeks).

FINES: Overdue fines on books, audio books, and music CD's are 25 cents per day. Fines on videos/DVDs are $1.00 a day.

LOST ITEMS: Lost materials have a processing fee of $5.00 added to the cost of the item.

BILLING: Payment for fines, fees, or lost materials can be paid at the circulation desk at any of the five libraries. PPLS does use a collection agency for past-due charges.
