LIMITATIONS:
General circulation privileges only. Excludes access to interlibrary
loans and borrowing from non-circulating collections such
as the reference, periodicals, reserves, audio-visual, and
Texana collections. You may check out materials through the
last regularly held class day of the San Jacinto College semester
or through the expiration date stamped on your TexShare card,
whichever occurs first. Your borrowing limit is two items.
Items are renewable once unless a hold has been placed. You
must renew items in person.
ELIGIBILITY:
Currently enrolled students without outstanding library obligations
and full-time faculty and staff of TexShare institutions.
Bring the TexShare card issued to you by your home library,
your social security number, and a legal photo ID.
CARD AVAILABILITY:
Cards are available whenever a patron is eligible for one.
Students: The card expires on the last regularly held class
day of the same San Jacinto College semester in which it is
issued or on the expiration date stamped on the TexShare card
by the borrower s college, whichever occurs first. Faculty
and Staff: The card expires at the end (August 31) of the
academic year, or on the expiration date stamped on the TexShare
card by the borrower s college, or upon termination of the
faculty or staff person's contract, whichever occurs first.
HOURS:
Fall and Spring Semesters:
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Summer Semesters:
Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Summer Mini Session:

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
Renewals are in person. Renewals are limited to one per item,
and only if no other patron is requesting the item.
RETURNS:
You are responsible for returning materials by the due date.
You may not return materials by interlibrary loan. Please
return materials in person. You may return books through the
external book drop located at the entrance to the library.

OVERDUES: Overdue notices will be
sent out on the same schedule as for other library borrowers.
No exceptions or special arrangements will be made to accommodate
TexShare borrowers who live far from San Jacinto College South.
RECALLS: Items are renewable once
unless a hold has been placed.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Items in the
reference, periodicals, reserves, audio-visual, and Texana
collections are non-circulating.
LOANS: 14 days, or through the last regularly
held class day of the San Jacinto College semester, or through
the expiration date stamped on your TexShare card, whichever
occurs first. Users who consistently return materials late
or damaged may be denied borrowing privileges.
FINES: Students: $0.50 per day for
each overdue item; $1.00 per day for each overdue item with
a hold request pending. No fine limit.
Faculty and Staff: $0.50 per day for each overdue item; $3.00
maximum per item.
LOST ITEMS: You will pay the replacement
costs of the materials, including any binding costs for bound
paperbacks, any accumulated fines, and a $4.00 processing
fee. Materials are considered lost if you fail to return them
by the end of the same semester in which you borrowed them.
If you return lost materials after paying for them, you may
receive a refund for the replacement costs only. Minimum replacement
costs: $35.00 for hardbacks; $16.00 for regular collection
paperbacks; $5.00 for paperback (PB) collection paperbacks.
BILLING: Payment due upon billing.
Failure to pay will result in the revocation of borrowing
privileges and the notification of the borrower's home institution.
ADDITIONAL: Lost cards require a
$2.00 replacement fee. Notify the library immediately if your
card is lost and no longer in your possession.
