RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
All renewal requests must be made in person at the Circulation Desk with the item(s) in hand. Graduate students and staff may renew items two consecutive times before returning them. OVERDUES:
Overdue notices are sent by mail.

RECALLS:
Killam Library does not recall materials. Items placed on hold for a subsequent patron may not be renewed.

NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS:
As noted above, Reference and Special Collections materials (including theses), periodicals, and audiovisual materials do not circulate.

LOANS:
The loan period for public library users, undergraduate and graduate students, and staff is three weeks. The loan period for faculty is 120 days.

FINES:
Overdue fines are $0.25 per day per item, up to a maximum of $10. Faculty are not assessed overdue fines, but they are responsible for charges for any lost items (see below).

LOST ITEMS:
The replacement charge for lost items is $50 per item ($10 if the item was from the Juvenile Collection). A higher replacement fee may be charged if the item was part of a multi-volume set or will otherwise be unusually expensive to replace. In addition to the replacement charge, a $10 processing fee is charged in all cases of lost materials. The overdue fine, if any, is waived in favor of these charges for lost materials. If a lost item is found and returned in good condition within six months of the assessment of fees, the replacement charge may be refunded; but the processing fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

BILLING:
All fines and fees must be paid at the Circulation Desk at Killam Library. Special arrangements may be made to pay fines and fees by mail in case of unusual circumstances; contact the TexShare Card Program liaison. Borrowing privileges will be suspended until any and all fines and fees are paid.
