LIMITATIONS:
TexShare patrons can borrow up to four book borrowing limit
at one time. There is a three-week loan with up to three renewals.
Patrons may renew over the telephone at (713) 525-2180. TexShare
patrons can borrow books from the main circulating collection
only. All fines must be paid and all overdue books must be
returned before any additional borrowing is allowed.
ELIGIBILITY:
To borrow books, TexShare patrons need a current TexShare
card and a second form of identification,. i.e. photo ID.
Borrowing transactions occur at the circulation desk located
in the main lobby.
CARD AVAILABILITY:
TexShare patrons may use their cards during any hours that
the Doherty Library is open. However, the circulation desk
closes 15 minutes before the library closes.

Fall & Spring Semesters:
Monday - Thursday: Open 8 am - midnight
Friday: Open 8 am - 6 pm
Saturday: Open 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday: Open 1 pm - midnight

RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:
Renewals are in person or by telephone, (713) 525-2180
RETURNS:
Borrowerers must return material by first-class mail, UPS,
drop off "in person", or through TexExpress.

OVERDUES:
Overdue notices are sent by mail.
RECALLS: If there is a hold on a book, then no renewals are
allowed. Notification of a hold is by telephone or by mail.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Categories of materials that do not
circulate: Periodical collection, Graduate Philosophy Collection,
Special & Rare books collections, Texas History Collection,
Archives Reference Books, Curriculum Guides, Reserve Materials,
Microform collections.
LOANS: Three week loan. Three renewals.
Limit four books.
FINES: Overdue fine of ten
cents/day/item. Lost and damaged books: replacement
cost (or $75/book, whichever is greater)
LOST ITEMS: Lost items are
classified as books 45 days overdue.
BILLING: Bills are due immediately
upon receipt of fine notice. Payment is made to: "University
of St. Thomas". Failure to pay will result in suspension of
all borrowing privileges and billing sent to the patron's
home library.
