LIMITATIONS: Only circulating collections are available to
TexShare borrowers. Privileges do not extend to Interlibrary
Loan, reserves, Special Collections, other non-circulating
materials, or access to electronic resources restricted by
licensing agreements.
ELIGIBILITY: Academic borrowers must present a current Texas
university ID card and a valid Texas driver\'s license or
Texas identification card and TexShare card. Public borrowers
must be at least 18 years of age and present a valid Texas
driver\'s license or Texas identification card in addition
to their TexShare card.
CARD AVAILABILITY: Applications for TexShare cards are accepted
each day that the Library is open. For public library participants,
undergraduate and master level students and staff, cards are
valid until the end of the current semester or until the date
indicated by the issuing library. Cards are valid until August
31st for faculty and doctoral students.
HOURS:
Monday - Thursday 8am - midnight
Friday 8am - Midnight
Saturday 9am - 8pm
Sunday 1pm - Midnight
Hours change during holiday and intersession periods - call
for hours.
RENEWAL OF MATERIALS: Renewal in person, by telephone or
in-house on online catalog.
RETURNS: TexShare borrowers are responsible for returning
materials by the due date of the material. These materials
must be returned either in person or by first class mail.
Late fees will be assessed for materials received after the
due date.

OVERDUES: Overdue notices are sent by mail. The UT- Dallas
Libraries send 4 overdue notices as a courtesy and accept
no responsibility for the late or non-delivery of a notice.
RECALLS: All materials are subject to recall. If an item
is recalled, the recall due date on the notice replaces the
original due date. Higher fines are in effect for overdue
recalled items. A notice will be mailed.
NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference and law materials, Periodicals,
items in Special Collections, some government documents, reserve
items, microforms, maps, and other non-circulating items.
LOAN POLICIES: Undergraduate TexShare cardholders are allowed
1 book for 7 days with no renewals. Graduate TexShare cardholders
are allowed 5 books for 3 weeks with one renewal. Faculty/Staff
TexShare cardholders are allowed 10 books for 3 weeks with
two renewals. Public TexShare cardholders are allowed 1 book
for 3 days with no renewals. Failure to return items will
result in a loss of privileges.
FINES: $.50 per item per day ($30.00 maximum fine) $25.00
non-refundable processing fee for items declared lost.
LOST ITEMS:
60 days overdue. Actual replacement charge or
$85.00 out-of-print charge.
BILLING: Bills are due upon receipt. Lost
book bills more than 90 days late are referred to collection
agencies.
