LIMITATIONS: A maximum of 5 circulating
items may be checked out at one time. Excluded items
are as follows: reference material, microform, and periodicals.
Interlibrary loan is not offered on TexShare cards.
Borrowing privileges will be blocked until outstanding
fines are paid and overdue items returned.
ELIGIBILITY: Borrowers must have a valid
TexShare card, and photo ID showing permanent address. Both
the TexShare card and photo ID must be presented to check
out materials.
CARD AVAILIBILITY: Borrowing privileges
and card applications are available during regular hours
of operation. Borrowing privileges remain in effect
until the expiration date of the TexShare card. TexShare
cards issued at the Wichita Falls Public Library will
expire one (1) year from date of issuance. Texshare
cards are issued by WFPL to adult residents of Wichita
Falls with an existing library account in good standing.
Renewal must be made in person.
HOURS: Mon - Fri --9 am - 8 pm Sat--9
am-5 pm Closed Sunday and major holidays.
RENEWALS: There will be no renewal
of materials borrowed from the Wichita Falls Public
Library. The checkout period is for 28 days with a grace
period of 7 days.
RETURNS: Library material may be returned
to the Circulation Desk book drop or to the return drop
into the building located on the Ohio Street (east)
side of the library. Items returned by US Mail or Express
Mail should be INSURED and postmarked by the due date
to the following address:

Mailed items must be insured.
OVERDUES: As a courtesy, borrowers
are reminded 3 times about overdues by automated telephone
call or by mail. Failure to return or pay for lost items
within 8 weeks of the original due date will result
in the account being turned over to Unique Management
Collection Agency and may result in the issuance of
a citation (Ordinance 11-93) by the City of Wichita
Falls Prosecuting Attorney. Borrower will be held responsible
for Court costs in addition to the library's fines.
Failure to return items and/or pay fines will result
in the suspension of privileges, and notification will
be sent to the home library.
RECALLS: No recalls.
NON-CIRCULATING: Reference, microform, newspapers,
and periodicals.
LOANS: Loan period for TexShare borrowers is 28 days with
a free grace period of 7 days. No renewals. FINES: Fine rates are as follows: $ .10 per day per item
beginning after the 7 day grace period. The fine limit will
not exceed the price of the borrowed item. Damage to materials
shall be determined on a case by case basis; however, items
too badly damaged to meet circulation standards shall be assessed
full replacement charges - price of item plus $15.00 processing
fee per item.
LOST ITEMS: An item is considered
lost if not returned within two months of the due date.
Charges are as follows: the price of the item plus $15.00
processing fee. Fines are not charged if the borrower
has to pay for the lost item.
BILLING: Payment of fines and lost materials may be made at
the Circulation Desk or by mail. (See address listed
under "Returns".) Please include TexShare
Card Borrower ID# and title of borrowed item if paying
by mail. TexShare card holder agrees to pay any charges
incurred as a result of late return, damage, or loss
of materials. Failure to comply will result in the loss
of TexShare library card privileges, and notification
of home library.
