LIMITATIONS: A Texshare borrower may check out a maximum
of 5 items at one time. Equipment and Interlibrary loans may
not be checked out. Items may be renewed once (except for
items that cannot be renewed, such as express books and videocassettes). ELIGIBILITY: Texshare patrons must produce a Texas driver\'s
license or other photo ID, in addition to the Texshare card.
Identification and proof of address must be provided to register
as a Wharton County Library borrower CARD AVAILABILITY: Cards may be issued during normal hours
of operation.

The Library observes County holidays RENEWAL OF MATERIALS:Currently, renewals may be made in
person or by phone. RETURNS: Texshare patrons must return Wharton County Library
materials either in person or through priority mail. MAIL RETURN:

Wharton, Texas 77488 EXPRESS MAIL: Same address as regular mail OVERDUES: Overdue notices are telephoned or mailed after
2 weeks overdue (sooner for AV materials). A bill is sent
6 weeks past due. RECALLS: An item may not be renewed if a hold has been placed
on it by another borrower. NON-CIRCULATING ITEMS: Reference books and most vertical
file items may not be checked out. LOAN POLICIES: Books (except reference books and express
books) and audiocassettes are checked out for 2 weeks. Express
books; cliff notes; magazines (except most current issues);
Videocassettes; Circulating encyclopedias--1 week. Express
Books--limit 1 per card. Videocassettes--limit 3 per card. FINES: Fines for most overdue materials are 5 c per day.
Exceptions: Videocassettes-- $1.00 per day; Express Books--30c
per day. Postage for overdue notices will be charged in addition
to the overdue fine. Charges for Material damaged beyond repair
will be the current price of the material. LOST ITEMS: Charges for lost material will be the current
price of the material. BILLING: Payment is due after a final notice is sent. Payment
must be received by the Wharton County Library. If a Texshare
borrower fails to return any materials (or make payment on
lost materials), the matter is turned over to the County Attorney.
