Registration: Free registration, free breakfast, free lunch with
your colleagues. Contact Nancy Paine any way you prefer, but she prefers
e-mail. Please include the name, title, institutional affiliation, and
e-mail address for
each person who will be attending.
Place: Sheraton Dallas Brookhollow (same place as last time,
different name)
Rooms: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton
Dallas Brookhollow, ph 214 630-7000, fax 214 638-6943. The address
is 1241 W. Mockingbird Ln., Dallas, 75247. It is very near Love Field.
Ask for the Amigos rate of $70. Unreserved rooms in the block of rooms
will be released on May 1. If you have trouble making the reservation,
e-mail Susie Thompson of Amigos at thompson@amigos.org.
Flying: Fly into Love Field if possible. The hotel
is very near Love Field and runs a shuttle, or you can catch a short cab
ride.
Driving: The hotel is at I35 (also called Stemmons) and
Mockingbird. If you are driving north on I35 and take the Mockingbird exit,
at the intersection you can see the hotel across the road from you. The
only problem is you need to shoot across about 6 lanes of traffic to get
to it. Don't panic. Turn right on Mockingbird and immediately begin working
your way to the left lane. At the first light turn left and then left again
back into the parking lot. If driving south on I35 take the Mockingbird
exit, go left under the underpass, and the hotel will be immediately on
your left.
